December 2009 – New Terms and Conditions

After a review of DTZ’s standard Terms and Conditions by a legal team, Darren Pettit, the Supply Chain Manager has been ensuring all preferred suppliers sign up to the updated version. To date 83% of the preferred suppliers have signed up to these.

October 2009 – Supplier Forum

DTZ's Old Broad Street Auditorium was the venue for the 2009 Buying Force Suppliers Forum.   Over 100 delegates attended the event, representing the majority of the 90 Approved Suppliers. Presentations were given by both Buying Force and DTZ, covering a range of topics. The feedback from the contractors was extremely positive and will enable the Buying Force team to continuously evaluate and improve processes thus ensuring, for both suppliers and FMs, a smooth tender project.

August 2009 – Alice Whiteside joins Buying Force

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Alice Whiteside to our Procurement Team.  Alice has worked in procurement for a number of years and has taken over from Darren Pettit with responsibility for procurement projects from project inception to completion, whilst building relationships with both Clients and Suppliers.

June 2009 – Buying Force Achieves ISO:14001 (UKAS)

Susan Webb our Procurement Assistant spent many long hours collating data and ensuring that Buying Force reached the necessary targets to gain the ISO: 14001 accreditation.  Susan’s desire to gain the award also rubbed off on the Landlords of our office and they have now introduced similar practices in the communal areas of the building in which we reside.

June 2009 – Darren Pettit takes over as Supply Chain Manager

Congratulations to Darren Pettit who took on the role of Supply Chain Manager; Darren was previously a Procurement Account Manager at Buying Force for two years.
