>Supplier Accreditation - An Introduction

Buying Force provides a rigorous Supplier Accreditation process.  The scrupulous checks that suppliers undergo means that clients using the Buying Force process to vet their supply chain can have absolute confidence that their chosen supply partners will have the ability to deliver, when needed. For suppliers, becoming Buying Force accredited provides objective and independent external assurance for their business systems and financial background, helping to gain opportunities in a competitive marketplace.

There are two levels of Supplier Accreditation. The first vetting level leads to an ‘Approved Supplier’ accreditation, and the second to ‘Validated Supplier’ status.

The Validated Supplier level includes all the checks undertaken for the Approved Supplier status, plus a Supplier Appraisal visit.

A member of the Buying Force Supply Chain team will visit the applicants head office to ensure the systems appraised in Stages 2 of the process are embedded and in use throughout the business. This Supplier Appraisal visit consists of a detailed onsite inspection of the business processes, including an examination of relevant hard copy documents, demonstrating the company’s procedures and processes.

 Approved Suppliers may choose to undertake the site visit and work to achieve Validated status at any time.
